We are proud to stock locally Hand Made products from Patnicks and Crellow.
Patnicks are based in Par, about 4 miles from us here in Fowey. Patnick’s preserves are full of natural flavours which are impossible to reproduce with modern factory methods. Their preserves have been popular in the Westcountry for many years and have won several gold medals our regional food awards. I really love Sues' Blackcurrant Jam, a great treat on toast in the morning.
We collect stock from Sue as and when we need to replenish stocks, and usually on the way back from delivering our fresh fish in that area! We like to keep our food miles to an absolute minimum, and we really don't like making separate journeys - wasting precious time and money. For more info check their website www.patnicks.com
Crellow ~ I was delighted when Deborah called me in June 2009 and asked us to stock her lovely products - previously she had supplied Tiffins Deli in our town, which is now a Bistro, so they have no shelves to sell wonderful Hand Made preserves. The Crellow products will change seasonally to suit species of fish being landed, whats in season for Deborah to use and what our customers want to buy! We are hoping to increase the range as and when space on our shelves allow. My favourite at the moment is "Old Dower House" Plum Chutney, I have a really sweet tooth and we thought that this went really well with my own home made Egg and Bacon Pie, with my own free range eggs!
