Best flash fried, in really hot oil - always pat the squid dry, with kitchen towel, before putting in the pan. Or alternatively slow cook in a stew. Nothing in between, or you'll have a chewy mouthful!
One kilo of whole squid will give about 600-700g of cleaned squid, ready to cook.
